We were probably around 12 years old when the first volume of Kill Bill came out. Having already exhausted our parents' VHS collection of blurry martial arts movies, our pre-pubescent Asian brains were KOed. Revenge. Super sharp unbreakable samurai swords. Gore for the sake of Gore. Bruce Lee's yellow tracksuit. Above all, Tarantino had tons of fun making this ultra entertaining and it shows. That's the dream.
