COMMUNITY AND MUTUAL AID
As members of an ever-growing DTLA neighborhood for over 30 years, we had some truly HOT plans to invest in our weathered, but cozy warehouse this summer — turning it into a creative space where friends could work and neighbors could gather — we’re talking art galleries, pop-ups, intimate music etc. But while the warehouse itself has naturally been put on hold, that doesn’t mean we can’t try to find other ways of building in today’s world.
That’s why we’re super excited to announce that we’ve officially opened the first DTLA community fridge with help from our friends, volunteers, and @lacommunityfridges. It’s a program powered solely by the community, operating under the belief that everyone deserves access to healthy food and anyone can help.
The fridge (@dtlafridge) is currently open 24/7 right in front of our warehouse and is available for anyone in need of food. We’re located at 1010 S. Olive St. next to the @ywcagla. If you’d like to help volunteer or if you have any ideas or if you just wanna talk, our DMs are always open or email us at hello@bonnieclyde.la - you can also DM us at @DTLAfridge
P.S. Special shoutout to the team that spent all day Sunday prepping and painting this beautiful fridge for the people.
